Melbourne Street Smarts

In April 2012 The Squeaky Wheel worked with the City of Melbourne and GHD to conceive and deliver a familiarisation program for the new Swanston St road treatment. A two part campaign was delivered, the first stage developing a sense of anticipation through the use of an interactive paste up on temporary fencing, the second part bringing this tableaux to life through the casting of on street umpires, interacting with road users and modelling preferred behaviour for the new shared environment. The delivery was so effective it was extended into a second week by the City of Melbourne. Check out the story of the project below.
