Pedal Power Moonlight Cinema in Footscray<\/strong>
Roll Up Roll Up!! Prizes on offer for riding your bike to the event!!<\/p>

Ever sat in a cinema and wondered how much power it took to light up that big screen?<\/p>

A dedicated group of students at Footscray City College certainly have! And as part of an innovative tribute to Earth Hour they will soon host a pedal power cinema to spin the important sustainability message.<\/p>

In an exciting collaboration with Maribyrnong City Council, Footscray City College will invite students, teachers and special guests to get pedalling to help create enough power to screenHunt for the Wilderpeople.<\/p>

Volunteers will pedal their way through the day and night on specialised bikes to generate enough energy up to power up a full feature movie screening to celebrate Earth Hour’s 10th birthday.<\/p>

This is a waste wise and zero carbon Earth Hour event. Park your bike with Roll Up Bicycle Valet Parking and receive a prize!<\/p>

Kicking off in March PUSHY YOUTH YARRA is taking local kids on Blue Bike excursions navigating Yarra traffic, teaching road rules and discussing career pathways by bike. In collaboration with Second Chance Cycles<\/a> in Collingwood the teens will learn how to fix and tune up a bicycle and will have the chance to receive a free second hand bike including safety gear at the end of the program. <\/p>
PUSHY YOUTH is brought to us by City of Yarra<\/a> and supported by Melbourne Bike Share<\/a>, Cargone Bike Couriers<\/a>, Melbourne Bike Polo<\/a> and RACV<\/a>.<\/p>

Our very own Wheelie Good Day! is back in North Melbourne again this year. The day is a community gathering of people from diverse cultural backgrounds who share the Melrose St retail precint as their local shops. Not only does the day educate, train and encourage participation in riding a bike, it caters for all members of the community with activities for young and older. The Wheelie Good Day takes place on Sunday 1st May, 11am - 4pm. There will be a road closure on the Western end of Melrose St between Erskine & Canning Sts. <\/p>
