The third part of the 2014 Share Our Streets campaign for the City of Melbourne saw us setting up a 'crime scene' on Collins St and St Kilda Rd, recreating the circumstances of car dooring. The activations were designed to communicate to the public the seriousness and potential for injury inherent in the act, and also to advise of the fine and status as a chargeable offence. <\/p>

We shared tips on how to avoid causing injury to people on bikes, and encouraged people into the car to practice opening the car door with the opposite hand. Most importantly, we encouraged people to share the tips with their workmates, family and friends.
