Winter Lights Rides

Riding in the winter can be just as fun as any other time of the year - especially when you're tricking out your bike in lights! In June 2011 we recruited a bunch of merry riders to bring out the city's inner glow in the depths of winter for the City of Melbourne Winter Destinations Campaign.

The Squeaky Wheel got together a bunch of hardy cyclists, decked them - and their bikes, of course - in glowing LED lights, and turned up the funky tunes.

With amazing wheel lights from Monkeyletric, the ragtag band spread joy and merriment throughout the dark streets of the CBD, luring in passersby with BMX tricks and the spectacle of lighting up the city in winter - one bike at a time.
