Kathleen Syme Library Opening
The City of Melbourne are inviting everyone down to the opening of the newly renovated Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre on Saturday July 4th! There'll be free community activities, giveaways and demonstrations taking place all day and we're especially pleased to be providing Roll Up Bicycle Valet Parking for those who choose to pop down on their bikes.
Like any good Carlton establishment, there'll be great (and free) coffee. You can also try 3D printing, be a part of story-time and give your vocal chords a workout in the recording studio.
While there, explore the $15.5 million transformation of this historic building into Carlton’s first community hub. You won’t be shushed in this library – the spaces are designed to get conversations going!
Some of the highlights of the day include:
10am–3pm: Roll Up Bicycle Valet Parking
10am: Chinese lion dance
10am, 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm: The Peanuts
