Wheelie Good Day
Sunday May 17th is going to be a Wheelie Good Day. The City of Melbourne is hosting a community bike day in North Melbourne and you're invited! Come along to the Melrose St Village between 11 and 4 where The Squeaky Wheel has organised an afternoon of fun, dress-ups, ice-cream, bike tours, training and workshops.
On the day there'll be Roll Up Valet Parking for your bike, Wheelie Workshops, face-painting, dress-ups and the chance to capture it all at the Treadlie Magazine Photo Booth. The Squeaky Wheel will be running bike tours to show you how you can safely and easily get to local destinations like the Victoria Markets and Library at the Dock, while Victoria Police will be there to engrave your bike and the guys from Good Cycles will be doing free bike tune-ups! Sign up to our FREE Learn to Ride sessions (11am and 12.15pm) or join the discussion in our Road Skills & Confidence Training (2.15pm).
Local bike shop Pony Bikes will run three free maintenance courses during the day, psbikes will have cargo bikes for you to try, Bicycle Network will have information about Ride 2 School and we'll also have a mini-market with all the accessories and products you could need featuring Cycle Style and Pony Bikes.
Come and tell the City of Melbourne how they can help you get on your bike and you'll get a FREE Bike N Blend smoothie. There'll be coffee and bicycle cookies available at Pocket Cafe and $1 ice-creams provided by the great folks behind Short Batch Ice Cream.
As we said, its going to be a Wheelie Good Day!
