The Squeaky Wheel's Wheelie Workshops are at first glance, a fairly innocuous form of children's entertainment. We rock up at events, venues and festivals with a marquee, our trained Bike Doctors, a hot glue gun and a mountain of dinosaurs and other decorative devices so that kids of all ages can spend time decorating their bike (or any other wheels they have with them - scooters or pushers, we're not snobby!), themselves or their parents, before going for a spin in a parade! 




































































 

  
  
    


      

      
        

          
        
        

        
          
            
          

            

                
                
                
                
                
                
                
                

            

          

        
          
        

        
      
        

      

    

  








  
 Often we bring some spare bikes (and helmets) of our own, so that everyone can have a go whether they have a bike or not, and as well as a parade we'll also give tips or even lessons, depending on the event. In fact, a Wheelie Workshop is the very embodiment of our philosophy around not only getting more people onto their bikes but reminding everyone of just how much fun riding a bike can be!
 
While engaged in some silly fun with our Bike Doctors, kids (and their parents) are actually learning how to do a safety check on their bike and the crucial elements to check before each ride. Our parade is the perfect opportunity to give some tips on technique and handling, the sort of small details that can turn riding from a chore to a spin! 
There is however, another element to a Wheelie Workshop. As their children are absorbed in deciding whether to glue the blue dinosaur or the red palm tree onto their handlebars, parents find themselves standing around and musing on their own bike-riding. Maybe they've fallen into conversation with another parent or one of our Bike Doctors, maybe it's the sight of their own child finding the confidence to spin three times around the parade ground. Whatever it is, a Wheelie Workshop seems to remind people not only of all the times they have enjoyed riding a bike but of the possibility of going on to do so, and of involving their children. 
All of The Squeaky Wheel's staff have working with children checks and with Austcycyle trained coaches we can deliver a Wheelie Workshop customised to your event and audience.  
We will have our stall at the annual Fawkner Festa, a community event that celebrates the uniqueness of Fawkner, with a vibrant showcase of music, dance, food, circus, community market and activities for young and old. An initiative from Moreland City Council.

The Squeaky Wheel's Wheelie Workshops are at first glance, a fairly innocuous form of children's entertainment. We rock up at events, venues and festivals with a marquee, our trained Bike Doctors, a hot glue gun and a mountain of dinosaurs and other decorative devices so that kids of all ages can spend time decorating their bike (or any other wheels they have with them - scooters or pushers, we're not snobby!), themselves or their parents, before going for a spin in a parade! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>

 Often we bring some spare bikes (and helmets) of our own, so that everyone can have a go whether they have a bike or not, and as well as a parade we'll also give tips or even lessons, depending on the event. In fact, a Wheelie Workshop is the very embodiment of our philosophy around not only getting more people onto their bikes but reminding everyone of just how much fun riding a bike can be!<\/p>
 <\/p>
While engaged in some silly fun with our Bike Doctors, kids (and their parents) are actually learning how to do a safety check on their bike and the crucial elements to check before each ride. Our parade is the perfect opportunity to give some tips on technique and handling, the sort of small details that can turn riding from a chore to a spin! <\/p>
There is however, another element to a Wheelie Workshop. As their children are absorbed in deciding whether to glue the blue dinosaur or the red palm tree onto their handlebars, parents find themselves standing around and musing on their own bike-riding. Maybe they've fallen into conversation with another parent or one of our Bike Doctors, maybe it's the sight of their own child finding the confidence to spin three times around the parade ground. Whatever it is, a Wheelie Workshop seems to remind people not only of all the times they have enjoyed riding a bike but of the possibility of going on to do so, and of involving their children. <\/p>
All of The Squeaky Wheel's staff have working with children checks and with Austcycyle trained coaches we can deliver a Wheelie Workshop customised to your event and audience.  <\/p>
We will have our stall at the annual Fawkner Festa, a community event that celebrates the uniqueness of Fawkner, with a vibrant showcase of music, dance, food, circus, community market and activities for young and old. An initiative from Moreland City Council<\/a>. <\/p>
