After three Melbourne Bikefests and three Bicycle Film Festivals before that, in 2013 we decided that it was time to fold the cards on the festivals we have worked hard to bring you since 2009. Not because we have a dud hand, but because we know that the tide is turning.<\/p>

We won’t rule out a return of Bikefest, rising from the groundswell of social, environmental and community innovation that is taking Melbourne by storm. After seven years of working to promote bike riding, we have learned to read the game, and guess what, everyone? We can all be winners!<\/p>

Celebrating and promoting bike riding is so important that a mere four weeks a year doesn’t do it justice. We don’t want to be part time advocates, we want to do it all year round. So this year we are proud to launch an exciting new chapter in the life of The Squeaky Wheel.<\/p>

A chapter in which every week we work with like minded collaborators to make Melbourne a great bike city. So keep reading good folk, the story has just begun.<\/p>
